Everyday Make up Routine

11 Aug 2014

Hello everyone, today's post is another collab, this time with the lovely Soph from Simply Sophhh. I love her blog and was really excited when she was interested in doing a blog collaboration so don't forget to follow her blog with bloglovin. You can head on over to her blog where you can read our skin care favourites, here. On my blog we will be taking about the make up products we use to create our everyday make up look, I hope you enjoy.

In the morning I start off with moisturising with the clean and clear dual action moisturiser which leaves my skin super soft and moisturised. I tend to avoid foundation in the summer so I use the collection lasting perfection concealer to make my skin look a little better in the morning. I then use The well known rimmel stay matte powder to set the concealer in place and to stop creasing.

For blush and bronzer I use the NYC smooth skin bronzer to bronze up my skin and because it is matte its great for contouring. Recently I have been using another NYC product, the BB cream stick in the shade 'never sleeping pink' and I love is as it is so simple and easy to use.

For my eyebrows I have been loving using the new rimmel brow this way brow gel to set and slightly fill in my brows. There should be a review of this up on my blog pretty soon so look out for that.

For my eyes I use the maybelline 24 hour colour tattoo in Rose Gold as a base and then I use the shade dust from the naked 3 palette all over the lid.

Finally for the lips I used the no7 bb lips in the shade 'blink pink' and then over the top I also used the NYC bb cream stick to create a peachy pink look on my lips.

Here is Soph's products that she uses to create her everyday make up look.

These are the products that I use for my base. Firstly I used the L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur cream as this acts as a primer while also minimizing the size of my pores! I have only been using this for around a week but I love it so much! For concealer I use 3 different ones, Maybelline The Eraser Eye over all my red patches as I suffer from very red skin and this is the best for covering all of that up! I then use the Collection Lasing Perfection concealer under my eyes to cover up those dark circles but also to brighten the area. I then use the L'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation in the shade C1 rose pearl. Again I have only had this for about a week but it is soooo good and I have found myself using it everyday since! Lastly I use the MAC Studio Finish concealer just to cover up any blemishes that may still be showing. I use a mixture of the Real Techniques sponge & contour brush to blend out my concealer/foundation.
I don't really tend to wear eyeshadow on an everyday basis I tend to just wear it on special occasions as I never really have the patience to sit and spend ages doing it. So the first thing I do is use the Collection Extreme felt tip liner in black to create a thin line close to my lash line just to make my lashes look fuller. I then curl my eyelashes and use a mixture of both the L'Oreal Million Volume Lashes excess and the Maybelline the Rocket Volum' Express mascara's to create longggg lashes. I use these on both my top and bottom lashes.
For my eyebrows I don't really spend ages on them as I like to keep them looking natural, so I just use this little brow pencil by Seventeen that I got in a brow kit to fill in any sparse areas. To keep this in place I then use the Maybelline brow drama which is amazing!
I then move onto my Sleek Face Form palette for contour, highlight and blush. This is the perfect palette as it has 3 in 1 and is also the perfect size for travelling. I use the e.l.f small stippling brush to contour as I find this is the perfect size to get where I want the product. I don't contour too much but I like to just give that subtle bronzed look. I then move onto blush using the Real Techniques blush brush, I like to just pop this on the apples of my cheeks. Finally I use the highlight in the middle on the tops of my cheekbones and any other areas that I want to catch the light.
Finally on to lips, I firstly use the Rimmel London exaggerate full colour lip liner in 063 eastend snob all over my lips. I love this colour sooo much its such a pretty nude/pink. I then finish off my lips by using the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipstick in the shade 07 nude-ist just to give a nice matte finish.

That is all for my everyday makeup routine, hope you enjoyed it!

lots of love,
