Travel Make up Essentials

19 Aug 2014

Hello everyone, todays post is another collaboration with the lovely Amy from The Wonderful World Of Amy Rose, and I absolutely love her blog, her photography is great and her posts are great, You should all go and follower her blog because its fab! Over on her blog we wrote about our favourite drugstore products and on my blog we have decided to write about products we would take on our travels.

Usually when Im on holiday I tend to not wear any make up at all, seeing as their is usually no one I know and a lot of time is spent in the water. When I do wear make up, I would go with the products I used for my 5 product face where you can read here

I decided to stick to lip balms as they are moisturising as well as lovely colour pay off. I have recently reviewed the new baby lips, that you can read here.

I tend to ditch the foundation whilst travelling so go for the trusty collection lasting perfection concealer.

For brushes, I would take the real techniques blush brush, which is one of my favourites seeing as its great for powder, bronzer and blush. Along with the buffing brush, which I use for blending in cream blush.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thankyou for Amy for collaborating with me I had great fun writing both posts. Dont forget to check out our drugstore favourites on Amy's blog!

Here are Amy's travel make up essentials

Hello Everyone! I am Amy Rose, and i would just like to say thank you very much to Cristy for agreeing to do this collab and for letting me feature on her blog! She is super lovely, and as a fellow blogger i am delighted to be featured on her blog.

For our collab on Cristy's blog, we will be talking about our travel makeup faves. I am a sucker for travelling and minis.... what better post?

I like to keep all my makeup simple, so when travelling, i like to keep it as compact and simple. I always have my Urban decay naked 3 with me when travelling, because the product is easy to blend and creates day and night looks.

I have my Bourjois CC Cream, as it is so light! i feel very skin happy when wearing this and i enjoy the look it gives my skin.

For lips i have my Revlon Lip Balms, matt and lacquer. I have the shades Elusive and Demure. They are my favourite lip products, and look gorgeous on the lips for a summer look.

For cheeks i have recently rediscovered my mac blush in well dressed for a natural flushed look. It has a light sparkle running through which looks absolutely FABULOUS on!

I love having minis so having this super cute bioderma with me is a godsend. It means i don't have to worry if i have a mini makeup mishap, ansd i don't have to carry around a heavy bottle around.

I am not going to  babble, but these are my favourite bits! Don't forget to follow Cristy's blog... I hope you enjoyed this post!

  3. I really like your post. I love keeping my makeup simple for travelling too. I usually bring basics (foundation, mascara, brow kit) then a red lipstick just incase I want to be 'fancy' haha
