How I care for my skin- Morning & Evening Routine

1 Feb 2018

Hello everyone, today I thought I would share with you my skincare routine for both the morning and evening. I have tried so many skin care products in the past, a lot from the drugstore and also Lush. My skincare routine is always changing as I love trying out new products and finding new ones to add to my routine. To start things off, I believe I have normal skin, with areas of oiliness around my nose and chin. However, I do often get dry skin on my nose and the middle of my forehead!

Morning

Face wash
I begin my morning skincare routine by washing my face with a face wash or the Liz Earle cleanse and Polish, however, I do like to save this for the evening and use it as a make up remover.

Toner
I then move onto toning my skin and in the morning I love to use the Botanics All bright cleansing toner. I believe this is around £5 in Boots, but always on offer so such a great price. I also think its supposed to be a dupe/ similar to the Pixi Glow tonic, however I am yet to try the glow tonic but maybe it could be something I try in the future. I love using this in the morning as I feel it cleanses my skin really well and removes any dirt from my skin that I missed in my evening routine. I do also feel like this does actually give a glow to my skin, which I love for the morning as this then makes my skin feel glowing through out the day. I then spray a little of the Mario Badescu facial toner spray to my face just as another way to refresh my skin and wake up my skin. I tend to use around to pumps of this and it works a treat.

Serum
As for serum, I have only just recently started using a serum as I received the Liz Earle superskin face serum. The consistency of this was very thin so sunk into the skin so well. I apply this just before my moisturiser just for an extra layer of moister and found it worked really well on my skin.

Moisteriser
As for moisteriser, I have tried sooo many in the past but have recently started using this one from the Simply Sensitive range at Boots. I believe this moisteriser is only £2.50 which is mazing considering it works so well. It is quite a thick moisteriser but I love the way it makes my skin feel after applying it and it feels amazing on the skin.

Eye care
I then use the Benefit eye cream under my eyes just to reduce puffiness and add a little bit off life back into my under eyes. I find I get quite bad dark circles and I find not many eye creams have worked, however, this one makes your eyes look so much more awake and illuminated.

Evening

Make up removal
As for my evening skincare routine, I begin by using the Garnier micellar water , if you know me or been following my blog for a while you will know I absolutely love this stuff. I take it onto two cotton pads and remove my mascara and eye make up and also my brows. For removing face make up I use the Liz Earle Cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser. I take one pump and thoroughly rub this into my face using circular motions. I will then take the cloth that comes with the cleanser and remove the cleanser.

Toner
For toner, I start by using the La Roche Posay thermal water and spray a little of this over my face. I then take the Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic on a cotton pad. I find this removes all the make up that wasn't removed  by the cleanser or micellar water.

Mask
If I decide to use a face mask, I tend to use the Your Good Skin Purifying face mask. This is great because it is clay based and is great for calming down blemishes and redness. I leave this on for around 10 minutes as it dries pretty quickly. I then remove it with a wet cloth or flannel.

Spot treatment
One of the only spot treatments I have found to have worked on my skin is Sudocrem. I apply this to any spots or redness and leave this over night. In the morning the spot has nearly always reduced in size and looks a lot less red and I think it works so so well.

I really hope you enjoyed this post and that it helped you in some way! What skincare products have you been loving recently? xx
