Affordable Outfit ideas to wear to the Races AD

28 Feb 2019

Hello everyone,

As some of you may know, the Cheltenham festival is just around the corner and I thought I would share with you all a lovely outfit idea, on a budget. Now, I must admit, although Cheltenham is my home town, I have never attended the races, although I won't lie, race week brings so much excitement to the town, however, does bring awful amounts of traffic.

I put together this outfit as this is probably what I would wear if I was going this year. I paired these Boohoo pink trousers with this Zara crochet, lace off the shoulder top. I absolutely love this top as it makes every outfit look so much more expensive than it actually is. My friend Kate actually gave this top to me, so I'm not too sure if it still available, but I will try and link a similar top in the shop the post section.

I also paired this look with my New Look pink stilettos. Now I absolutely love making an outfit 10 times more stylish by wearing a stiletto styled heel. These just make an outfit look so chic and also elongates the look of your legs which is always a plus point. These are great ones to go for as if they get dirty you can easily clean them and simply wipe away the dirt.

As for accessories, I have gone for rose gold. Now, if you know me, you will know I adore rose gold jewellery. I have added this rose gold circle necklace from Accessorize, which was just £5, my Miss Selfridge rose gold watch, Pandora rose gold circle earrings, JewelleyBox.com ring stack and my beautiful pandora pull bracelet. I just find the rose gold matches perfectly with the pink trousers and the delicacy of the lace top.

As for the bag, you are going to want something practical, yet stylish. I picked up this gorgeous bag from, can you believe it, Primark, just a couple of days ago. This is such a beautiful bag, the colour is timeless and the little straw detailing makes it that little more trendy. I also love the handle on this bag and it matches perfectly with the jewellery. I can not believe that this bag was only £8, so get yourself down to Primark to take a look at their new pieces as there are so many amazing things in there that look so much more expensive than they are. I also paired the look with another bag, which was from New look, and I have actually owned this from my year 11 prom. However, I wanted to include this as the bag just matches perfectly with the lace top.

A hair accessory is nearly almost the star of the show. I have gone with these beautiful pearl hair clips from Accessorise, however, if your feeling more confident I would highly reccomened a fascinator. I have actually been doing some work experience with the lovely Lisa Von Hallwyl, and I must say, if you are after a beautiful, bespoke fascinator, Lisa is definitely the lady to go to. You can take a look at some of her designs here, www.lvhdesigns.co.uk

This look would be perfect for so many different race meets, such as Cheltenham and even places like Epsom and Derby.  If you are looking to book a place at the races Keith Proswe offers hospitality service for festivals across the country, including Epsom, Derby Hospitality  Is a great place to start, allowing you to book for festivals across the country.

I really hope you enjoyed this post and that it gave you some inspiration for the upcoming race festival. See you next time.
