Creating a Photo Wall for under £15...

28 Oct 2019

Hello everyone,

As you may have seen if you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen that I have recently created my very own photo wall. I had seen so many photos on Instagram and Pinterest of other peoples photo walls and I just felt like my wall behind my bed was really missing something. I have always wanted to create a photo wall however I know ow expensive it can get, so I managed to create my very own photo wall for under £15 for all of these photos and frames.

So you are all probably wondering how on earth I managed to do this for under £15, so the first thing I did was of course did some research. I took to Pinterest to see what images I would like to put in my frames. I didn't want to just put in any old photo because it looked nice, I really wanted it to mean something and relate to me in some way. So I had a look on Pinterest and found some photos that I wanted to put in my frames.

I then found some frames in B and M, the white ones were 3 for £5 I believe and then the gold frames were £2.99 each. I love the look of the white and gold frames, I feel like the gold frames really add something extra and makes the wall stand out just that little bit more. I definitely feel like I could add more frames to the wall if I wanted too but thought I would start off simple.

I printed off the photos to the same size as the frames and popped them into the frames and then laid them out on my bed to try and see what way would be best to arrange them on the wall. I also searched on Pinterest for layout ideas and then used my laptop to create a virtual image of how I wanted the photo wall layout to look. I added the photos into this too see if they looked good together and where each one should be positioned.

When it comes to arranging the photos onto your wall, I found that using a little blue tac came in very very handy. This meant I could temporarily place the photos onto the wall without it ruining my wall. Once the photos were on the wall using blue tac, I then lightly drew around the top edges with pencil and took down each frame at a time. I then used some damage free frame stickers to apply the frames to my wall and stuck these where I had marked out and then placed the frames onto the stickers.

So that is pretty much how I created my photo wall for under £15... I really hope this helped you and gave you some inspiration if you were thinking of creating your own wall but ddi not want to spend too much money on it.

I really hope you enjoyed this post and I shall see you next time...
