Looking Back on the last Ten years...

31 Dec 2019

Hello everyone,

I can not believe another year has passed by and so very quickly, honestly life goes by so quickly. I thought what better way to end 2019 by looking back on my life over the past 10 years. It was only the other day I actually sat down and realised just how many things have happened in my life in that time. Some of my biggest achievements were made in 2019 and also the last ten years and probably the most important years some may say.

There of course have been so many memories in the past ten years, some that I probably can not remember as i was about 11, but there have been some amazing things to look back on, so I should probably start with school. I of course had already started senior school but have since had two proms and gone through GCSE'S and my a levels. In this time, two of my sisters got married and my eldest sister had two lovely children, which made me an Auntie for the first time. I also met Sam at school and we have been together for almost five years which is crazy to think thats almost half a decade.

As well as academic achievements, during the last ten years I made one of the best decisions of my life, which was to start my blog/ Instagram. I can not even tell you how much confidence/ happiness my blog has brought me. I remember starting it when  was in about year 9/ year 10 and I won't lie, looking back I actually didn't get too much stick for it.But I am so glad I did it, I feel like it has completely shaped my style and given me a sense of independence, in the sense that it made me feel like I could wear what I want and not worry about what other people think. My blog has also allowed me to work with amazing brands over the past 6 years that I will forever be thankful for.

I also started university and graduated with a 2:1 and made my very own collection which is just crazy. I never thought I would be able to make my own clothes let alone a whole collection that would be marked and graded. I can not believe how quickly this time in my life went, it honestly flew by, so if you are off to uni, believe you me it will go incredibly fast.

My second eldest sister also had a beautiful little baby girl who was born last year which of course was another incredible moment for the Notty family. I also travelled to Venice which is somewhere I always dreamed of going but thought I never would, and I still can't quite believe to this day that I have been. I have also went to Creamfields, my first ever festival, for the first time, and next year it will be my fifth year of going which is absolutely crazy.

These are just a handful of amazing memories from the last ten years, I really hope 2020 brings you so much joy and happiness, I can not wait...
