A Guide to Cheltenham at Race Week...

10 Mar 2020

Hello everyone,

As you may know, today is the start of the Cheltenham festival, also known as race week. After spending the majority of my teen life thinking Cheltenham was incredibly boring, I have grown to absolutely love it and over the years found so many lovely, quirky places, cafes, independent stores and amazing places to eat. It is honestly a wonderful town and if you know where to look, you will find some amazing places to spend race week.

I am so excited to write this post because it means I get to share with you all of my photos I have taken across the years throughout living in cheltenham. So if you would like to see some amazing places to eat, pamper yourself then you have come to the right blog. As well as race week bringing thousands of people to the town, I personally love the vibe cheltenham has at race week and its so exciting seeing so many people here when it is usually pretty quiet...

1. PLACES TO BRUNCH

1. BOTANICA COFFEE KITCHEN

Now if you are a regular reader of my blog you will know how much I love this place. Not only is it beautiful inside, their food is just incredible. They do quite possibly one of the best full English breakfasts I have ever tried and their avocado on toast is also incredible. It is also incredibly good value for money, not expensive at all. This is a little out of town which is good so you don't have to pay to park and be in the hustle and bustle if you wanted somewhere a little quieter. Saying this, it can get quite busy so I would definitely call up and book a table.

If you don't have the time for breakfast/ brunch, they have just opened up another cafe outside Cheltenham Spa railway station If you just needed to pick up a coffee on route to the Racecourse. it is also incredibly beautiful and has such a lovely vibe and offer takeaway too!!

2. THE FIRE STATION

This place is another of mine and Sam's favourites, the food is incredible and the service is always pretty good and the staff are just lovely. If you love really hearty food and amazing cocktails this is a great place for both brunch and dinner. They offer bottomless brunch which is always amazing and their dinner menu is also incredible. If you are looking to get tipsy, this is most definitely the place to go for bottomless prosecco for 2 hours...

Again, it will probably be incredibly busy through out the week so I would highly reccomened booking a table.

2. PAMPER AND BEAUTY

1. MOLTON BROWN

Throughout race week molton Brown are offering hand and arm massages, so if you find yourself walking past the store on the high street, I would definitely reccomened going in and trying some of their lovely products. The staff are honestly amazing and will definitely give you a very warm welcome...

2. EARLS AND CO

If you have a day to spare and need to pamper yourself and get ready for a day at the races, I would highly recommend this place. it is one of my favourite places to go to feel truly pampered and relaxed. I love getting their shellac manicure, it honestly lasts for the longest time and always makes my nails so strong underneath. They offer manicures, pedicures, massages I believe and beauty treatment. They also offer prosecco with their manicures which is a fab way to get beauty ready for the races.
Of course it is also beautiful inside and the service is also incredible...

3. NIGHT OUT AND COCKTAILS

1.GIN AND JUICE

Now if you love gin, then you will love Gin and Juice, This is such a quirky little bar hidden beneath No 131 on the promenade. it is sooooo beautiful inside and has one of the best vibes in town. It honestly feels like you have just walked into an Italian bar. The music is great and its a great place to be social and enjoy your evening after a long day at the races. they also do incredibly priced prosecco and their cocktails are just beautiful.

2. COCO

if you love a boogie and cocktails, COCO is the place for you. They offer cocktails and any beverage under the sun. The staff are amazing and if you love your music, this is a fab place to go. Their cocktails are great and I always go here if I am after a boogie and know I'm going to have a really fun night.....

Thankyou so much for reading, I hope this helped you out and I hope you have a fab time whatever you get up to this week...
