The £2.50 Foundation You Need To Try...

29 Mar 2018

Hello everyone, So I was having a little browse the other day and decided that I wanted to film a 'Testing Primark Make Up' Video over on my YouTube Channel. I know i'm a little late on the band wagon but I really wanted to try some of the beauty bits out.

The Video of me actually testing the make up will be up on my channel, hopefully tomorrow at 4:30 where you can see all of the bits I chose and tried out. I was SO impressed with the foundation I used so I just had to share this with you.

So I have seen that Revolution have recently come out with a foundation stick for £5 which I really wanted to try, then when I was in Primark yesterday I saw they had there very own foundation sticks for just £2.50.  So, I decided to pick up the shade 'Toffee' and give it a try!

Shade
As for the colour of the foundation stick, at first I was a little apprehensive as I felt like it was going to be wayyyy too orange for my skin, however, once I blended it out it actually was the perfect shade, especially when I have fake tan on. They had so many different shades in the store which I was really impressed with.

Application
Before I tried this out, I really didn't think that this foundation would be all that great. HOWEVER, I was very wrong. This foundation is so so creamy and literally glides onto the skin and blends so well with a Kabuki brush. I was so surprised with how well it applies to the skin and how well it blends on the skin too!

Finish
I absolutely love the finish of this foundation. I feel like a lot of stick foundations have a matte finish and are quite drying which I really don't like as I am a lover of a dewy foundation, so when I saw that this one had a 'velvet finish'. It looks so dewey and I have found this looks amazing with a dewy/ illuminating primer/ base underneath, especially with the strobing cream also from Primark.

Longevity
As for how long it lasts, again, I did think that it wouldn't last very long, however again I was wrong! It actually lasts so so well and I was so surprised how long it actually lasts. I did notice that it did start to begin to disappear in some areas but I find that nearly every foundation I use will do this.

Packaging
As for the packaging, for £2.50 I actually think that it is really quite good! I was expecting it to feel a lot cheaper, however, it has such great packaging for the price. There is also no problems twisting it up which is also a plus point.

Overall, I am so impressed with this foundation. It is actually the first ever stick foundation I have tried and it has definitely set the mark for other ones I would like to try. I love how it looks on the skin, the application is creamy and so so easy and quick if you are in a hurry and don't like to spend too much time on your make up.

I really hope you enjoyed this review and let me know If you have tried one of these foundation xx
