The Best Afternoon Tea Ever...

27 Feb 2020

Hello everyone,

Last weekend myself and my lovely gals went for afternoon tea at The Bush Inn, Hereford. I had seen so many photos all over Instagram of this beautiful place doing afternoon tea served on a picnic bench, and when Moll's birthday came up we knew that she would absolutely love to spend the afternoon here.

Based in Hereford, it was about an hour away from my home in Cheltenham but definitely worth the drive. The drive was lovely and the scenery was so nice so it is very much so slap bang out in the countryside. We got ourselves a G&T and were seated by this beautiful flower wall, which I believe is new, but made our photos look amazing! It had such a lovely relaxed vibe, I feel like afternoon tea can often get quite sophisticated but this was just so nice to go and relax and eat some great food. The staff were also so so lovely and welcoming too...

As for the mini picnic bench, which in itself is just a genius idea, I have never ever seen anywhere come up with this idea before, its so original and works so well. I believe they are booked full a lot of the time so if you are wanting to go, make sure to book in advance.

On the picnic bench was so much food, Sam absolutely hates afternoon teas because he feels like there is never enough food, but this one was just amazing and I must say we all couldn't finish them because there was just so much. We had a miniature lasagne (which was also a lovely touch). I feel like sometimes afternoon tea is just full of sugar and cake so it was nice to have a mini meal before hand. You also get a pretty decent sized cheeseburger, a little crate of chips and a bread chicken breast, all which are delicious.

As for sweets, there is a brownie caramel shortcake, a strawberry cheesecake, shortbread biscuit, marshmallows with chocolate dipping sauce and a cake pop and we all know how much I love a cake pop. I have honestly never seen an afternoon tea so big and be so satisfied after it. This was the valentines inspired picnic bench and I believe they change it up every season, so I presume the next one will be inspired by Spring maybe. But they always look incredible. As well as looking amazing the food is actually incredible and I love the fact they come over with a little goodie bag at the end for all the things you don't finish...

The afternoon tea costs around £20, which for the amount of food you get, is amazing!! You can head to there Facebook page to find out more info all about it...

Thankyou so much for reading I really hope you enjoyed...
